Something different

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on
WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from, if possible. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previously post. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Here's something different for this week.

There is a woman named "Wendy Weetabix" who wrote a blog called That's My Bix, but the last entry was from 2015.  But she has been posting random questions for the past several months on Facebook.  I went through and picked a few of them for us to answer this week.

1. What is a normal thing that took you an embarrassingly long time to learn?
2. In what ways are you old-fashioned?
3. What is the best sandwich you've ever eaten? Where did you get it? What made it so delicious?
4. What are you currently not bragging about that you should totally brag about?
5. What food have you never tasted and are most interested in trying?
6. What history facts were you surprised to learn because it was never covered in school?
7. What is something that you waited entirely too long to start or stop doing? What made you say "Why did I wait so long?"
8. What socially expected thing do you hate doing the most? What thing about polite society really grinds your gears?
9. What is something about your city that I should know if I'm going to visit? What is the hidden "must see" that you always tell friends and visitors to not miss
10. What do you miss most about childhood?
11. What "fact" did you learn in school that is not true or no longer true?
12. What's your favorite piece of useless trivia?
13. What's your best go to homemade "lazy" meal
14. What's the title of this current chapter in your life?
15. What is a habit or practice that you learned from your childhood that you didn't realize was "weird" until you were an adult?

These questions were on a site by Debbie Hodge, which apparently once had more blog content, but now seems to be mostly devoted to scrapbooks -- content, supplies, etc.

The artwork is by Picasso.
1.  What is the favorite piece of art you own.
2.  The most expensive bill you paid last month.
3.  What’s the last thing you apologized for?
4.  If you could do today over, would you change anything?
5.  What is the largest TV screen in your house?
6.  What did you buy today?
7.  I wish I had ____
8.  How many photos did you take today?
9.  Last thing you wanted and didn’t get.
10.  What was the last new thing you tried?
11.  Who is your hero?
12.  Today I feel really secure knowing ____
13.  Whose life did you make a difference in today?
14.  What would have made today perfect?
15.  Did you thank anybody today?

The Last 40 Questions from Bud

The good news is that Bev Sykes has agreed to keep Stealing alive. Not that she wants the duty, but she's willing to give it a shot. We came this -><- close to closing. Now that we're actually here, I want to thank you guys. You were SO loyal. It's why I came back. I did expect to start looking for Kwizgiver's replacement as soon as I knew her summer break was gonna be a long one.

Next week Bev is away, so of course I'll be here. But I'm
going to do it as her, so that the new format and everything's in place for her start. I always sign off my radio shows with, "This is Bud [or Gary depending on the station] and no problem is too big, too complicated or too complex that it cannot be run away from. That's what I'm gonna do right now." I will see you next time, whenever or wherever that will be. It has truly been my pleasure...

We found this gem from a blogger Lady Nina of the blog "Live The Good Life, Fight The Good Fight". She gives us no idea who she stole it from. But, it was probably stolen at that blog as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. That's it from me. Peace & love!

Cheers to all us thieves!

The Greenish Questions & Ending Stealing

The End of An Era- A note from Bud-

Sometimes I feel like the boy who cried wolf. But when I left Saturday 9 to The Gal (who I freely admit improved it - greatly) and Stealing to Mr. L and then Kwizgiver I was so burnt out that I even ended the WTIT Blog at the same time. Now while I won't be doing that, I will be leaving Sunday Stealing after next week. We've had a marvelous run - we are in our 10th year - but if a new host isn't found this week, we will end Stealing. About two years ago I started a book about WTIT. It's a daunting task to cover 50 years of anything, and so I stopped writing about a year ago. And while the hour or so I spend on Stealing doesn't sound like a lot. I'm just not feeling it and I think that now that I am out of work on disability I should start anew on the book. It's not like there's not a lot there, I had nearly 20 chapters written.

During our 50th Anniversary Show I contacted Mike Toscano, an old college friend, who has a golden voice. For the first decade of C-Span, he was the announcer who said "Next on C-Span" and all that 24 hours a day. He did the show intro and stuff I asked him to do. While he has only sat around this table twice, his voice is heard on nearly every tape. Mike in addition to his radio job mornings in D.C. is an contributor to The Washington Post. Which means the dude can write. He told me that he missed the stories I wrote (Under "WTIT Folklore" on my blog if you are interested) on my blog about WTIT. He told me that I am a terrific writer and to finish the damn book. I was shocked on his compliment and I have taken it seriously.

So that is what I'm going to do. I won't be leaving the blogospohere. I will still play Saturday 9. And Stealing if we are lucky enough for someone to take it. It needs to grow. We got hit hard from the social media switch from blogs to Facebook and twitter. But there are thousands who still play memes who need to be contacted. I just don't have the time. But if you do, we could have fifty players a week. See, you don't run a successful meme blog without having to find players. I havcen't done that since well before I left the first time. If you want to be the host of Stealing either leave me a comment or email me at bud.weiser@wtit.net. It has been an honor to be your host for for so long. But I've got a book to write.

We found this gem  from a blogger and blog named Greenish Lady. She states that Becca invited everyone to do it. But, it was probably stolen at that blog as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Cheers to all us thieves!
